Hello! 

This game is a deck builder roguelike whose main mechanic of betting chips and managing cooldowns is based on the remake of a certain JRPG, a game I really liked.  It was made for a school project and so is more of me testing the waters than anything else, but I hope to present something at least interesting for you to play. 

If there are any bugs, improvements, things you think I should add or remove, please feel free to comment . If you want to support me, please do so by commenting and also playing the game. It would be cool to hear your thoughts on it.


Tutorial:

Basically  within a turn you have your hand of chips which you can bet by pressing them. Betting chips determines your attack and defense power, and in the player (wizard) and enemy's health bar, you can see how much damage they will take. You can bet multiple chips within in a turn, but the downside to using is a chip is the CD (cooldown) which is how many more turns until you can use the chip again. The enemy's current action will be displayed under it with a power rating from -D to A+.

There really isn't anything more to the game in terms of complexity within the main combat, but other than that it's a fairly standard roguelike though missing some things.

This game is based on the Slay the Spire clone tutorial by the wonderful GodotGameLab and made in the Godot game engine.

The art is something I made myself using Aseprite.

  • Passive abilities when a chip is on cooldown

  • Single-use chips (potions basically in StS)
  • Elite combats
  • Chests
  • Refactoring the main combat for status and modifier effects (str, dex, weaken, etc)

  • Saving and loading

Nice game. One suggestion - during fight, make scrolling between chip pages easier - for example with mouse wheel.
